Camp Mani-Toebeans is Manitoba's only annual furry nature retreat.

At the edge of Clear Lake, animals of all stripes and spots rosettes will gather to roast things over fire, trample the underbrush, and swim in the pristine waters. 18+ event

Our mascot Lydia, an arctic fox lady with grey fur and red highlights, is decked out in survival gear and is giving the thumbs-up. We bring furries together to the central Canadian wildnerness, to share in its natural beauty. We invite you to join the fun and games, so check out our scheduled activities below:

Packing List

We want to be sure you're prepared to take in all that Camp Mani-Toebeans has to offer! Here are some items you will need.

Photo ID to verify your age and identity.

Bedding: Bring a sleeping bag/blankets and a pillow. *An extra note about the beds! While your inner child may be alive, well, and ready for summer camp, your outer adult body may not find the mattresses provided by the camp quite to your desired level of comfort. Consider bringing a sleeping pad or mattress topper for extra cushion!*

Towels: For both showering and swimming.

Toiletries: Include insect repellent and sunscreen.

Clothing: Dress for unpredictable prairie weather, sun protection, and swimming.

Sturdy shoes for outdoor activities.

Beverages: While food is provided for the duration of the camp, any specific beverages you like can be brought with you. (Soda, sports drinks, etc.) Alcoholic beverages are not provided, so you must supply your own. A reusable water bottle is a great way to carry your thirst-quenching liquids.

Camper Conduct

We at Camp Mani-Toebeans expect that all campers follow the rules and regulations of Camp Wasaga and Parks Canada outlined below.

CAMPER AGREEMENT

All campers agree to the following during registration:

You agree to abide by the rules set out by Perogus Vulpes Inc and the Camp Mani-Toebeans staff on the "info" page or in any other official written material, and by Camp Wasaga and their staff, and in future by the staff of any other camp at which Camp Mani-Toebeans is to be held. You are 18 years of age or greater. You agree to treat with respect all staff, attendees, and guests of Camp Mani-Toebeans and their camp partners. In the event that Camp Mani-Toebeans staff determine you're in breach of this agreement, we retain the right to suspend your registration, with a refund given only if the suspension is enacted more than two weeks before the date of the event for which you have registered.

WAIVER

  • All outdoor activities carry some inherent risk to your wellbeing, so you will need to sign our waiver before being allowed to attend. Please read it before you register.

ILLNESS

  • Please don't attend camp if you're feeling sick. If you catch something a few days before camp, please let us know immediately. We're trying to offer emergency refunds for anyone who gets sick, if at all possible.

LAW

  • Federal and Provincial law should always be followed.

DRINKING, SMOKING, & VAPOURS

  • All attendees must be 18 years of age or older (Manitoba’s legal drinking age).
  • You may bring your own alcohol, but please be wary of glass bottles that could break and harm barefoot campers. Please make use of plastic or other reusable containers to store and move your liquids.
  • Please refrain from wearing artificial scents as they can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Avoid products with "fragrance" or "parfum" listed in the ingredients.
  • If you are a smoker, keep to designated areas and be considerate of others with sensitivities to smoke.
  • While marijuana is legal in Canada, please be mindful that traveling over the border with cannabis products can get you in a ton of trouble with law enforcement. Please familiarize yourself with Canadian substance transportation laws.
  • Other unprescribed narcotics that are dangerous and illegal are not permitted. Camp staff will inform authorities.
  • Please Drink/Smoke Responsibly.

WEAPONS

  • Absolutely no weapons or replicas at the camp. This includes knives, swords, airsoft guns, etc.
  • Foam-dart guns are not permitted to avoid litter and risk to wildlife. Water-guns are acceptable.
  • Boffer weapons, which are used in LARP, are acceptable so long as they’re clearly foam. To guarantee that no one will get hurt with one you bring, we ask that you hit yourself with it in front of staff.

WILDLIFE

  • Don’t feed the wildlife. It poses risk to them and humans.

FLORA

  • Any of the trails inside the national park are on protected land, so stay on designated trails.
  • Camp Wasaga asks that campers don't forage for berries in the woods.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Lydia the fox is seen dropping an empty soda can onto the pristine green grass, even though a garbage bin is available to her no more than two metres away. Behind her, a dark figure looms in the bushes. Upon noticing this disgrace to nature, he exclaims in surprise and decides that Lydia must die.
  • Please be mindful of how loud your voices are at night and tone down the volume after midnight.
  • Violence, threats of violence, or anything breaking the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms will not be tolerated, period. If you are subject to such violations, or are concerned with the safety and well-being of yourself or another camper, please tell staff.
  • Vandalism and graffiti will not be tolerated.
  • Campground safety should always be observed, and the rules of the camp we attend will be addressed at opening ceremonies.
